More about Walworth Walworth is a village located in Walworth County, Wisconsin. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 2,304. The village is located within the Town of Walworth. Walworth Demographics As of the census2 of 2000, there are 2,304 people, 850 households, and 582 families residing in the village. The population density is 613.5/km² (1,583.9/mi²). There are 893 housing units at an average density of 237.8/km² (613.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 97.22% White, 0.48% Black or African American, 0.09% Native American, 0.65% Asian, 0.04% Pacific Islander, 1.17% from other races, and 0.35% from two or more races. 7.16% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 850 households out of which 35.5% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.3% are married couples living together, 10.6% have a female householder with no husband present, and 31.5% are non-families. 26.1% of all households are made up of individuals and 11.8% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.57 and the average family size is 3.11. In the village the population is spread out with 26.9% under the age of 18, 7.0% from 18 to 24, 28.3% from 25 to 44, 20.1% from 45 to 64, and 17.8% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 37 years. For every 100 females there are 90.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 83.4 males. The median income for a household in the village is $43,672, and the median income for a family is $51,630. Males have a median income of $35,492 versus $23,693 for females. The per capita income for the village is $19,311. 8.7% of the population and 5.4% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total population, 8.3% of those under the age of 18 and 16.8% of those 65 and older are living below the poverty line.
