More about Monaca Monaca is a borough located in Beaver County, Pennsylvania. As of the 2000 census, the borough had a total population of 6,286. In early November 2003, the largest hepatitis A outbreak in American history occurred due to unsanitary conditions at a restaurant in the Beaver Valley Mall in Monaca. There are 2,709 households out of which 26.8% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 47.6% are married couples living together, 12.7% have a female householder with no husband present, and 35.7% are non-families. 32.2% of all households are made up of individuals and 18.8% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.31 and the average family size is 2.93. In the borough the population is spread out with 22.0% under the age of 18, 6.8% from 18 to 24, 26.9% from 25 to 44, 23.2% from 45 to 64, and 21.1% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 41 years. For every 100 females there are 87.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 83.4 males.
