More about Madill Madill is a city located in Marshall County, Oklahoma. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 3,410. It is the county seat of Marshall County6. Madill Demographics As of the census2 of 2000, there are 3,410 people, 1,284 households, and 830 families residing in the city. The population density is 455.6/km² (1,179.8/mi²). There are 1,453 housing units at an average density of 194.1/km² (502.7/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 64.52% White, 6.04% African American, 6.42% Native American, 0.26% Asian, 0.03% Pacific Islander, 15.84% from other races, and 6.89% from two or more races. 20.97% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 1,284 households out of which 32.6% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 47.7% are married couples living together, 12.5% have a female householder with no husband present, and 35.3% are non-families. 32.2% of all households are made up of individuals and 19.4% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.47 and the average family size is 3.12. In the city the population is spread out with 26.8% under the age of 18, 9.7% from 18 to 24, 25.3% from 25 to 44, 18.7% from 45 to 64, and 19.6% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 35 years. For every 100 females there are 90.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 86.3 males. The median income for a household in the city is $22,457, and the median income for a family is $26,892. Males have a median income of $22,420 versus $18,203 for females. The per capita income for the city is $12,614. 26.1% of the population and 19.2% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total population, 36.2% of those under the age of 18 and 19.7% of those 65 and older are living below the poverty line.
